Education, does it have a happy hour?

The future is affected by one's course of actions, and staying on "the right path" is encouraged to ensure a successful future. Although my definition of success differ from others, we all work hard to attain the future we think about on a daily basis. While some inherit success through birth, many rely on the educational system to acquire knowledge, experience, and skills in preparation for the life ahead.

Parents work hard to save money in order for their kid to obtain a college degree with as little stress as possible. Thousands, if not millions, of students enroll in college with the intention of starting his career of life and earn money. According to the article "Student Loan Debt Crisis: How’d We Get Here and What Happens Next?", student loan debt is increasing, More and more students depend on loans to pay for the education needed for a good future. Drop out rates are increasing due to the increase in cost of higher education (The Fiscal Times). Although financial aid is available for students, some are still forced to take a student loan to cover the tuition. Where is the government in all this? Why does the government make it more difficult for their people to get education?

Intelligence shouldn't be kept away from the people, if anything education should be free. The United States has the potential of becoming the greatest country in the world, but making education harder to attain will hurt the nation. An educated nation would lead to major improvements in technology, medicine, finding cures for diseases, etc. The government should push to educate everyone instead of spending money on weapons and useless researches. If free education is too much, why not work to lower the cost? As a college student, graduating is important. I work hard to attain a good future for myself, and to live a life free from the stress of not having enough money. Having a large sum of debt after graduation is not something anyone would want, so why not provide the people with a helping hand?
